Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked ground beef. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onion is softened.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef mixture, tomato sauce, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
Spread half of the cooked pasta in a greased baking dish. Top with half of the meat sauce mixture. Sprinkle with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese and half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Repeat the layers with the remaining pasta, meat sauce, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot.
