Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a wooden spoon.
Add the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, milk, red wine, salt, black pepper, dried basil, dried oregano, and bay leaf. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the bay leaf. Serve the bolognese sauce over cooked pasta, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
