6 tbsp Melted Butter

4 cups Sourdough Bread
Notes:

cubed

1/3 cups Parmesan Cheese
Notes:

grated

2 tbsp Fresh Parsley
Notes:

chopped

2 onions Sweet Onions
Notes:

sliced

8 oz Mushrooms
Notes:

sliced

1 cup Buttermilk
Notes:

can substitute white wine

1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cups Roasted Red Bell Pepper
Notes:

chopped

3 cups Shredded Cooked Chicken

Instructions

Step 1 : Prepare Sourdough Mixture

Toss 4 tbsp melted butter with cubed sourdough bread, parmesan, and parsley. Set aside.

Step 2 : Saute Onions and Mushrooms

Saute onions in remaining 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet until golden brown. Add mushrooms and saute for 5 more minutes.

Step 3 : Prepare Chicken Mixture

Stir in buttermilk, cream of mushroom soup, roasted peppers, and shredded cooked chicken. Cook for 5 minutes stirring constantly.

Step 4 : Assemble and Bake

Spoon the chicken mixture into a lightly greased casserole dish and top with the sourdough mixture. Bake at 400F for 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
