Instructions

Step 1 : Preparation

Wash and soak the split black gram in water for 30 minutes.

Step 2 : Cooking

In a pressure cooker, add the soaked split black gram, chopped onion, chopped tomato, grated ginger, minced garlic, chopped green chili, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Add 2 cups of water and pressure cook for 4-5 whistles.

Step 3 : Tempering

In a pan, heat butter. Add the cooked dal mixture and simmer for 5 minutes. Add fresh cream and mix well.

Step 4 : Garnish and Serve

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
