Instructions

Step 1 : Marinating the Chicken

In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken tikka masala, yogurt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.

Step 2 : Cooking the Chicken

Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3 : Preparing the Sauce

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the tomato puree and cook for another 5 minutes. Stir in the heavy cream and kasuri methi. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Step 4 : Combining the Chicken and Sauce

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to coat it with the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through. Garnish with cilantro.

Step 5 : Serving

Serve the chicken tikka masala hot with rice or naan bread.
