Instructions
Cook the pasta using package directions; drain. Cover to keep warm.
Saute the prosciutto in a mixture of the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Stir in the shallot and garlic. Cook covered, until tender.
Stir in the undrained tomatoes, broth and tomato paste. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the basil, salt and pepper and mix well.
Add the pasta and toss to mix. Cook just until heated through, stirring frequently. Spoon onto serving platter and sprinkle with the cheese.
