Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, kashmiri red chili powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
Add the chicken pieces to the yogurt mixture and mix until the chicken is well coated. Marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
In a skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and cook until golden brown.
Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Cook for another 2 minutes.
Add the tomato puree to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, or until the oil separates from the mixture.
Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook for 10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. Stir in the heavy cream and garam masala. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Garnish with crushed kasuri methi and lemon juice. Serve hot with naan or rice.
