Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
In a saucepan, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and beaten egg.
Spread a thin layer of the sauce mixture in the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange a single layer of lasagna noodles on top. Spread a layer of the cheese mixture over the noodles. Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of sauce. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
