Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder.
Slice the buns in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in a baking dish. Spread the sauce mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the buns. Place the ham slices on top of the sauce. Place the top halves of the buns over the ham.
Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and the ham is heated through.
